A relative of the popular money tree is the aichrizon flower - a plant that belongs to the jumbo family. This flower is a low succulent bush that reaches a height of up to 30 cm and a diameter of up to 20-27 cm. The stems are highly branched and hardly lignified.

Aichrizon room is popularly nicknamed very romantic and graceful - the tree of love. This is directly related to the fact that its leaves, which are covered with a small white fluff, resemble the shape of hearts, which are collected in typical rosettes.

The homeland of such an unusual plant is the island of Madeira, which is located in the Atlantic Ocean. From time to time, Aichrizon (Love Tree) grows in the Canary Islands or the Azores, in Portugal. Currently, many indoor plant lovers grow it.

There are many different signs associated with this houseplant.

It is interesting: many believe that the plant can bloom only in the place where there is complete understanding between husband and wife and they love each other.

That is why the name “tree of love” appeared among the people. It was believed that if the relationship in a couple deteriorates, becomes difficult, then Aichrizon gets sick. When there are quarrels in the family, it stops blooming, the leaves fall off, and the root system rotts.

Aichryson laxum is a small succulent shrub with a square shape: height and diameter can reach 40 cm.

The leaves are covered with snow-white small hairs and are matched in rosettes. Diamond-shaped leaves on a long petiole are 1.5-3 cm long and up to 1 cm wide.

The six-month flowering period begins in the spring. The inflorescences are large brushes, the length of which reaches 30 cm. The flowers are golden yellow in color. For loose aichrizon, it is inherent to throw off most of the leaf mass after a full flowering cycle. The indoor flower itself does not die at the same time.

Indoor flower Aichryson tortuosum is a small decorative bush, in which the diameter of the leaf rosettes and the height of the processes are the same - 25-30 cm.

A distinctive feature of this species is short petioles. Succulent flowering begins in early spring and lasts up to 6 months.

Temperature

rooting period - 14 days;
temperature: from +20 to +25 degrees;

The beginning of flowering is April or May. The duration of the flowering itself is up to six months. During flowering, a houseplant loses up to 90% of its leaf mass. After the end of flowering, aichrizon can be disposed of. To preserve the plant, peduncles should be removed immediately at the beginning of their development, preventing the plant from moving to this stage.

Reasons why it does not bloom

The appearance of the color directly depends on the conditions in which the aichrizone is grown. If a lover of exotic plants provides proper care for the aichrizon flower, then it begins to bloom in early spring.

The plant at the time of flowering, despite proper care, throws off the leaf mass, from which it loses its attractiveness. However, this process is not started by all owners of exotic plants, and then the question arises why aichrizon does not bloom. Experienced flower growers say - it means he is developing in the wrong conditions.

It is necessary to transplant it into a narrower pot and change the care:

put a flower pot in a cool but bright room;
change the frequency of watering.

Note! This species is resistant to a variety of diseases if properly cared for. However, minor changes in the conditions of detention, more often, the high moisture content of the earthen coma, can contribute to decay of the root system and plant processes.
